Today in preparation for the Superbowl, I decided to go to a friend's house and bake cupcakes . Unfortunately, my car, "Henry", decided that he was going to be lazy and wouldn't start. Mind you, this is not the first time this has happened so when he wouldn't start even after we tried to revive him with some jumper-cables, I decided that it was time to get him a check-up. Soooo, my morning started out with me freezing my butt off in the 40-degree weather while I waited for the tow truck to arrive.

When I finally got my car taken away (3 hours later), Neil let me borrow his so that I could still accomplish everything I had planned for the day. I finally made it to my friends house and immediately started to bake because I hadn't really eaten anything yet and a cupcake sounded pretty darn good. They turned out a little bigger than I expected (though I'm not exactly a world-class baker) but they were at least not burnt or anything horrible like that. Oh I forgot, these are strawberry cupcakes with cream-cheese frosting...not sure if the
guys will like these but I figure they'll just be psyched to have something to eat during the game. Speaking of which....I am a newly converted Pats fan (Neil is from Worcester, Mass) so I'm really hoping they win this year or I'm going to have a real Debby-downer as a bf for the next month. I'm sure it will be a very interesting game, though I'm mostly looking forward to the commercials...
Anyways, GO PATS!!!!
