A day in D.C!

I love love love Washington D.C so Neil and I spent the day there walking around. We also visited the different museums including the Natural History Museum and the Air and Space Museum.  I got a little excited as you can tell....

Because we were already in D.C. we had to stop by Georgetown Cupcakes, obviously.  Neil was skeptical because he doesn't really like sweets but he happily stood in line with me for about an hour and a half to get 4 delicious cupcakes!! He tried one of them but wasn't really a fan so I went ahead and ate the rest...I wasn't going to let them go to waste!!

Back from Spain!

Well it's good to be back in the one and only USA!  I had a fun (though rather short) stay in Barcelona and Tarragona Spain full of sight-seeing and eating.  In fact, i'm almost positive I gained about 7 pounds on my trip...oh well, it was worth it!  I had some very yummy meals including seafood paella, sangria, and several baguette sandwiches.

The trip over to Spain was somewhat of a nightmare unfortunatly.  Our first flight was late so we missed our connecting flight and couldn't leave until the next morning. Then, when we finally got to Barcelona, the airline told us that they had lost our bags and were trying to locate them.  We ended up staying in Spain without luggage for about 2 1/2 days so we were forced to buy a new pair of clothes...although i'm not complaining because it gave me an excuse to buy a new outfit!

My favorite part of the trip was getting to taste all the yummy flavors of Spain and dipping my toes in the Mediterranean.  It was freezing water but the beach was still nice.  I also liked seeing all the old styles of architecture around the city. Who knew there could be so many different churches in one place? Even though I had a pretty good time travelling, it's good to be back in the states. There's no place like home!
