This weekend I attended a dinner party with my boyfriend and some of our closest friends at school. It took place at the Lowe's Hotel in downtown Annapolis, MD which was only 3 blocks away from the Westin where my friends and I were staying. We got ready in our hotel and then took the shuttle over to where they were having the reception. I'll admit we had had a few drinks by the time we arrived, so it was a little challenging to be on our best behavior in front of all the guests.

Earlier on in the week I realized I didn't have a dress to wear so I started to panic and called a number of my friends asking if they had something suitable to wear. Unfortunately, no one had anything that was small enough to fit my chest (story of my life) so I was forced to go out and buy one on Friday. 5 hours and 12 stores later, I had two dresses. The one I really liked wasn't really formal enough so I chose the one below. I'm very happy with my choice but I decided to keep the other dress as well...because, you know, a girl can never have to many LBD's.

There was an open bar (bad news for our crowd) and a slide show of pictures of everyone in attendance. The dinner was very yummy and I even had two servings of dessert (which was delicious chocolate cake)...can you blame me? I didn't want to waste Neil's! The underclassmen did skits about the upperclassmen which were very funny and we had a great speaker that kept the crowed laughing. The night ended all too soon and after a few short dances, everyone left for bars downtown.
Neil and I only stayed out at one bar and then decided to go back to our hotel room because we were just too tired to stay out.
It was such a great night and I'm so thankful that I got to share it with Neil and the rest of our friends. I'm starting to realize how close graduation is and it makes me sad to think that soon I won't be with these great people anymore. That's why we better make the most of it and live it up!!
